The Pearl River Delta has adverse geological conditions and special geotechnical characteristics,and deep foundation pit excavation is bound to have a series of impacts on the ground structure,soil deformation,and urban traffic facilities.Therefore,the dynamic changes of surrounding soil deformation and environment during the excavation of deep underground foundation pit were analyzed,and various construction procedures and construction parameters were adjusted accordingly to ensure the safety,quality,and speed of the project.This article relies on the Airport Avenue(Baiyun Fifth Line Airport)project,combined with the monitoring results of the deep foundation pit open excavation construction site,such as surface settlement near the foundation pit and horizontal displace-ment of the retaining structure.Combining with the open excavation construction process,a finite element numerical model was established and compared with actual monitoring data to effectively control the construction within a safe range.Relevant laws and factors affecting the deformation of the surrounding soil were summarized,providing refer-ence and inspiration for the construction of similar underground projects.
