Measurement Research on Vibration and Noise Characteristics of Bridge Expansion Joints Under Vehicle Loads
Noise generated from bridge expansion joints during vehicle passing has caused localized environmental problems around the world. The single-gap expansion joints of bridges installed on a freeway ramp bridge in a city were selected for this paper. The vibration and noise of vehicles passing through the bridge expansion joints were measured. The test and analysis results show that:①the vibration of single-gap expansion joints is high-frequency vibration, and the characteristic frequency is concentrated in 2200~3000Hz;②the vibration of the concrete in the anchorage area belongs to low-frequency vibration, and the characteristic frequency is lower than 100Hz;③the char-acteristic frequency of the noise caused by vehicles passing through the single-gap expansion joints is concentrated in 30~1000Hz.
