On the Value Connotation and Promotion Measures of the Educator Spirit
General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the educator spirit on the eve of Teachers'Day in 2023,which fully portrays the spiritual portrait of teachers in the new era and reflects the new trends in national education policies and the new conditions of education practices.Ideal beliefs and moral sentiments depict the underlying value of teachers,while the wisdom of nurturing individuals and the attitude of diligent cultivation highlight the professional charm of teachers;the heart of benevolence and the pursuit of self-improvement embody the social responsibility of teachers.This is capable of effectively addressing three major challenges in modern education:the reconstruction of teachers'ethics and professional conduct,the building of a strong education nation,and the development of rural and special education.In the new era,teachers need to fully grasp the spiritual essence of educators,understand the new changes in the nurturing environment,seek new pursuits beyond economic considerations,enrich professional roles and development paths,consciously transform spiritual motivation into educational practices,so as to truly unleash the tremendous efficacy of the educator's spirit and promote the construction of the teacher workforce.
