An Intertextual Analysis of the Discourse Construction of"One-Hour Living Circle"in the Greater Bay Area
Based on the news reports by mainstream domestic media in 2023 regarding the"One-Hour Living Circle"in the Greater Bay Area,this paper conducts both quantitative and qualitative analyses of the intertextuality strategies within the discourse.The research findings indicate that explicit intertextuality strategies primarily manifest as discourse reproduction,mentions,and presuppositions,while intertextual strategies mainly involve embedded intertextuality.Both strategies strategies play crucial roles in constructing the image of the"One-Hour Living Circle"in the Greater Bay Area:explicit intertextuality highlights the region's objective characteristics,while intertextuality enhances the subjective guidance of the reports.This explores the discourse construction process of the region's image and suggests that intertextuality is an important strategy in discourse construction,enriching the construction of regional image and intertextuality research from the discourse level.
