Analysis of Effect of Corrosion on Pressure Bearing Capacity of Small Diameter Pipes
In order to ensure the safe operation of small-diameter pipes and clarify the influence of defects on the pressure-bearing capacity of small-diameter pipes,this paper used finite element software to simulate the small-diameter pipes with com-mon corrosion defects.The results show that the small diameter pipe pressure-bearing capacity shows a downward trend with the corrosion depth increased linearly,with the corrosion length increased exponentially decreased.The influence of corrosion width on the bearing capacity of small tube is affected by corrosion length and corrosion depth.For short corrosion defects with large corrosion depth,the bearing capacity of small tube decreases linearly or exponentially with the increase of corrosion width.When the corrosion length is equal to or greater than√20Dt,the pressure bearing capacity of small diameter pipe is almost not affected by the corrosion width.
