Comparison of Effectiveness of Two Hardness Testing Methods in Pressure Pipeline Inspection
The hardness of samples with different materials and different wall thicknesses was tested by portable Leeb hardness tester and indentation analyzer.The hardness values obtained by the Brinell hardness indentation method and the Leeb hardness ball rebound method under the same experimental conditions were studied through comparative verification methods.At the same time,the mechanical properties of the material obtained by the indentation method were compared with the experimental data.The results show that the data measured by the indentation analyzer is more accurate,stable,and has good repeatability.And it is an effective method for obtaining material mechanical properties in a non-destructive and accurate manner on site.
