Simulation Study on Dynamic Response of Highway Crossing Sections Under Vehicle Load
Heavy-duty vehicles travel above pipelines can generate significant axial loads on the pipelines, which can easily lead to pipeline fracture and failure. Therefore, this article took crossing highway sections as the research object, used multi-body dynamics simulation software ADAMS to simulate and extract wheel forces, established a pipeline mechanical response finite element model, studied the influence of vehicle weight, driving speed, and wheel pressure position on the dynamic response of crossing sections, and determined the main control factors affecting pipeline dynamic response. The research results indicate that the stress and displacement in the direction of the pipeline axis under vehicle load exhibit a parabolic distribution, and reach their maximum values near the midpoint of the two wheels. The stress of the pipeline is positively correlated with the weight of the entire vehicle, while is negatively correlated with the driving speed. The main controlling factor affecting the mechanical behavior of the pipeline is the weight of the entire vehicle.
