Application of DN1000 Large-diameter Horizontal Bending in Submarine Pipelines
A certain large-diameter natural gas subsea pipeline project is limited by external conditions, and horizontal bends must be set up to complete the pipeline routing turning. In the absence of successful case studies for reference, this article combined engineering characteristics and natural gas pipeline/horizontal bending characteristics, and used MOSES and other software to simulate the installation process of horizontal bending. The lifting/lowering process, the impact of floating crane ship movement, installation fatigue, and other calculations were analyzed.By optimizing the lifting parameters of floating crane ship and the thickness of submarine pipeline weight on both sides of the horizontal bending, the application of DN1000 thick wall large-diameter,high weight, and high difficulty offshore horizontal bending is successfully completed, which has certain refe-rence significance for similar projects in the future.
