Research and Application of Discharge Characteristics of Pipeline Detector Bypass Valve
In order to solve the problem that the pipeline detector cannot be used when the natural gas flow rate exceeds 5 m/s,bypass valve is necessary to be used to regulate the running speed of the pipeline detector. The current bypass valves are mostly of conical structure,in order to increase the area of the discharge hole, the cylindrical and conical surfaces of the bypass valve are required to discharge at the same time, but research on the pressure loss coefficient of the conical bypass valve is still missing.Based on the existing research results, the calculation equation of the pressure loss coefficient of the conical bypass valve was derived.Combined with the industrial field pipeline transportation parameters, the running speed of the pipeline detec-tor after discharge was calculated.Compared with the actual running speed of the Φ1016 and Φ1219 pipeline detectors in the in-dustrial field, the calculated value is close to the actual operating speed, the reliability of the calculation equation is verified.
