Analysis and Verification of Equal Area Reinforcement Calculation Model for Opening Position of Tee
Hot-pressed tee products are widely used in pipeline connections.Due to the stress concentration being more prominent at the opening position,there is a hidden safety hazard of pipeline failure.To improve the load-carrying capacity of the hot-pressed tee,based on the technical specifications for equal area reinforcement around the tee opening according to national and industry standards,a computational model for equal area reinforcement at the tee opening was established.This model was used to analyze the effect of sleeve reinforcement on the tee product's equal area reinforcement.The computational results were validated through finite element simulation and experimental testing.The results indicate that the equal area reinforcement de-signed according to this model is reasonable and effective,and can provide effective assurance for enhancing the safety and relia-bility of tee products during service.
