Exploring General Secretary Xi Jinping's lmportant Speech on Teachers
Since the 18th CPC National Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has made a series of important remarks on teachers'work,covering the concepts of teachers'roles,duties,standards,development,and protection.Regarding teachers'roles,a new interpretation has been offered from three perspectives:passing on human civilization,promoting educational reform,and leading students'growth.Concerning teachers'duties,it is pointed out that teachers should take the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as their responsibility,aim to educate people for the Party and the country,and make it their mission to establish morality and educate students.In terms of teachers'standards,the focus is on the"Four Good Teachers",the"Four Unities",and the strong promotion of the educator spirit.Regarding teachers'development,it is emphasized that teachers should adopt a lifelong learning concept,and the goal is to build a high-quality,professional teaching workforce.In terms of teacher protection,the importance of promoting respect for teachers,safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests,and improving the'three statuses'of teachers is highlighted.General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on teachers are rich in connotation and profound in thought,answering a series of important questions such as what kind of teaching force to build and how to build it,thus pointing out the way forward and providing a fundamental guideline for the construction of the teaching force in the new era.
