Floristic Composition and Conservation of the Fungshui Woods in Guangdong's Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong
Fung shui Wood (Fengshui wood,or Geomantic wood) is an old and special forest type mainly found behind the village.It is a unique green culture heritage of South China and Hong Kong.Large floristic surveys have been done on the Fung shui woods in both Hong Kong and the Pearl River region of Guangdong since 1990s.The floristic characteristics of Fung shui woods were compared between the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong and Hong Kong.The importance of facilitating sustainable development of Fung shui woods in South China and Hong Kong is discussed.
