Resource Characteristics and Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Ancient Trees in Wengyuan County
Taking the ancient trees registered in Wengyuan county as the research object,the resource char-acteristics and spatial distribution characteristics are analyzed.The results show that there are 433 ancient trees in Wengyuan county,belonging to 29 species in 24 genera of 20 families,the dominant species are Camphora offi-cinarum,Dimocarpus longan,Pinus massoniana.According to the structural characteristics of the ancient trees,the age of the trees is mainly concentrated in 100-210 years,the average age is 170 years,the height is mainly concentrated in 11-16 meters,the average height is 14.14 meters,the DBH mainly concentrated in 0.50-1.00 meters,the average DBH is 0.89 meters,the crown width mainly concentrated in 10.00-16.25 meters,the average crown width is 14.19 meters.According to the growth vigor,the number of healthy,weak,endangered and dead plants are 356,16,5 and 56.In terms of spatial distribution characteristics,the ancient trees are distributed in all 8 towns,showing an aggregation pattern,there are 6 clusters with high kernel density estimates and more than 15 ancient trees.The custom culture and natural environment are the important reasons that affect the species composition of ancient trees in Wengyuan county.
