In April 2024,the average temperature in Guangdong province hit a record high for the month in history,with the most precipitation ever recorded in April.However,the spatial distribution of pre-cipitation was uneven,with more in the north than in the south.In this month,there were two cold air processes and three rounds of heavy precipitation,the strongest since 1981.The precipitation is character-ized by obvious strong convection,overlapping rainstorm areas,large cumulative rainfall and significant ex-treme nature.
