Exploring the Impact of Rising Housing Prices on Common Prosperity:A Spatial Econometric Analysis from the Perspective of Urban-Rural Income Gap
To explore the impact of rising housing prices on common prosperity,this paper analyzed the mechanism involving house prices,urban-rural income gap,and common prosperity and constructed a spatial econometric analysis model to examine these relationships based on panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2010 to 2020.The results indicate that,from the national perspective,the rising housing prices widen the urban-rural income gap,thus inhibiting common prosperity.However,there are regional differences in the impact of rising housing prices on urban-rural income gap,suggesting the need for tailored strategies to promote common prosperity based on local conditions.
