To advance the development of college counselor teams in the new era,a knowledge graph analysis of research literature over the past two decades was conducted using CiteSpace software.This analysis reveals the current status,hot topics,and trends in this field.The findings indicate that research output is relatively abundant and demonstrates a notable policy-oriented trend,with a trajectory of rapid growth-fluctuating decline.However,collaboration among authors and research institutions remains limited.Journals focusing on ideological and political education or higher education dominate the list of top publishers.Frequently occurring keywords include"counselors","universities",and"professionalization".The three main research hot topics are team building,job burnout,professionalization and specialization.In recent years,"new era"and"moral education"have emerged as prominent keywords.In the future,efforts should focus on strengthening research team development,promoting collaboration among institutions,deepening and broadening research content,diversifying research methodologies,and enhancing empirical studies.
