Joint Water Storage Operation of Cascade Reservoirs in Beijiang River Basin
The joint optimal operation of cascade reservoirs is of great significance to improve the efficiency of water resources utilization. This study focuses on the cascade reservoirs in Beijiang River Basin, employing water storage scheduling lines as the scheduling rule and utilizing the NSGA-II multi-objective genetic algorithm to establish a multi-objective optimization model for cascade reservoir water storage. The results show that controlling the flood limit water levels at different stages can achieve pre-storing water, and effectively improve the comprehensive benefits of the cascade reservoirs.Advancing the start time of water storage for the cascade reservoirs to September 1st,11th,and 21st significantly increases the annual average full storage rate by 14.86%,14.80%,and 14.22%,respectively.The results can provide reference for the joint optimal operation of cascade reservoirs in Beijiang River Basin.
