Analysis of Return Periods on Precipitation of Reservoirs in Adjacent Small Watersheds under the"Rain Nest"Terrain
The north of the Pearl River Delta is one of the three rainstorm centers in Guangdong Province.Daqin,Liangdong and Huanglongdai reservoirs of different small watersheds in this area are selected as research object and daily rainfall data from 10 stations over the past 10 years is used to calculate the return period on precipitation based on regional L-moment method. Then the characteristics of extreme daily rainfall and differences in surface rainfall estimates of different reservoirs are analyzed. The research results can provide reference basis for flood control planning and water resource scheduling in this region,as well as the research method can be used as a reference for researchers in meteorology and hydrology.
