The Study of Eco-postmodernism in Maggie Gee's Novel The Ice People
Eco-postmodernism advocates the real interconnected worldview to replace the thinking mode of dualism,dedicates to recovering the wholeness of interconnection between man and man,human beings and nature,and tries to construct an ecological society that respects differences and cares for each other.In her work The Ice People,Maggie Gee,a British Writer,proposes to get rid of anthropocentrism,respect the dominant role of nature,break away from the blind worship of technology,construct the ecological technology concept and struggle against racial and gender discrimination with the pursuit of harmonious coexistence.Meanwhile,in this work,Gee actively reconstructs a sound and harmonious body-mind,restores the harmonious relationships between self and the other,people and nature,builds a holistic ecological society that respects difference and embraces diversity,and promotes the comprehensive and healthy development of people and society.
