This is an interview with Professor Xu Dejin of Sun Yat sen University.In this interview,Professor Xu Dejin first introduced the elements of paratext in literary works,mainly answering the questions of what is paratext theory,and how to carry out literary research from the perspective of paratext theory and explained the theory of text-paratext symbiotic narrative.Then,he introduced the concept,connotation and research significance of narrative community in detail,and clarified the possible application of narrative community in literary research at the micro level.Professor Xu Dejin also focused on the"onion theory"of community:he believes that the cultural community is not a single and static concept,but a multifaceted and evolving conceptual metaphor.The cultural community contains five dimensions:the trauma narrative community,the national political community,the spiritual/emotional(psychological)community,the ideological community,and the global ecological community.
