Through the subversion of the traditional macro narrative,the shift of the narrative center,and the proposal of a humanistic solution,Anil's Ghost reconstructs the history of Sri Lanka Civil War.The reasons behind the reconstruction lies in that Michael Ondaatje the writer holds a postmodern view towards history and fiction,and his literary speech act that he wants to change the world through the writing of the theme of reconstruction.Although his reconstruction of history is not entirely reasonable,the humanistic comfort Ondaatje offers is his hope for the world.
