Interviewing Professor Ou Hong:Precious Fragments in My Academic Life
Recently,Professor Ou Hong of Sun Yat-sen University was interviewed by Lei Yanni,an associate professor of Sun Yat-sen University about his academic life and the development of the discipline of China's foreign literature.During the interview,he explained in detail the concept of"sense of nativeness"put forward by him in 1988.He also recalled his study in Sun Yat-sen University in the 1960s as an undergraduate for English major and in the 1980s as a graduate successively for MA and PhD degrees in English language and literature.He also recalled his study in the University of Cambridge between 1988-1990 as a postdoctoral scholar,under the supervision of J.H.Prynne.In the interview,he mentioned many teachers and friends who had deeply influenced and helped him.These scholars,with their discretion and sincerity,have helped to push forward the development of the discipline of China's foreign literature.
