The purpose of this experiment was to study the differences in growth performance,slaughtering performance and egg quality between the F7 generation of Zhongshan ducks and their offspring,so as to evaluate the quality advantages of the F7 generation of Zhongshan ducks and their offspring.Two hundred and fifty Zhongshan ducks F7 and their offspring were randomly divided into two groups of 10 replicates of 25 ducks each.at 10 weeks of age,two males and two females were randomly selected from each replicate for the determination of body measurements and slaughter performance.at 24 weeks of age,3 eggs were selected from each replicate for the determination of hatchability,and at 43 weeks of age,3 eggs were selected from each replicate for the determination of egg quality.The results showed that:1)the body weights of Zhongshan duck F7 and its offspring entered the plateau stage at 10 weeks of age;the tibial circumference and body slope length of Zhongshan duck F7 were significantly lower than those of its offspring,and the neck length and breast width were significantly higher than those of its offspring;there was no significant difference in the growth performance of Zhongshan duck F7 and its offspring(P>0.05).2)The slaughtering rate,half-clearance rate,full-clearance rate,leg muscle rate and lean rate of Zhongshan duck F7 were significantly higher than those of its offspring(P<0.05).3)The meat quality and slaughtering performance of Zhongshan duck F7 and its offspring were determined at the same time,and the meat quality of its offspring was determined at the same time.higher than that of its offspring(P<0.05).3)The eggshell thickness,eggshell strength and yolk color of Zhongshan mallard F7 generation were significantly lower than that of its offspring(P<0.05).In addition,the egg weight of Zhongshan duck F7 generation had a tendency to be lower than that of its offspring(P<0.10).In summary,the body weights of Zhongshan duck F7 generation and its offspring entered the plateau stage at 10 weeks of age.The slaughtering performance of the F7 generation was significantly better than that of its offspring,but the egg quality of the F7 generation was significantly worse than that of its offspring.
