Comparing the Effects of Two Types of Formula Feed on Beagle Puppies
In order to select suitable formula feed for the growth of Beagle puppies,a total of 16 puppies,12-week-old,were fed with two formula feeds for three weeks. The results showed that the total average daily gain in group A and Group B was 33 g/d and 43 g/d,respectively.And group B was 10 g/d higher than group A.The relative growth rate of puppies in group A and Group B was 13.30% and 17.78%,respectively,and the weight gain effect in group B was higher than that in group A by 4.48%(P<0.05).In addition, the fecal score in group B was higher than that in group A,indicating that the compound feed in group B was easier for puppies to digest. Therefore, group B formula feed is more suitable for the growth of Beagle puppies.
