Research Progress on Collection,Preservation and Artificial Insemination of Alpaca Semen
In recent years,people's living standards have gradually improved,and sightseeing animal husbandry is developing rapidly.Alpacas as ornamental animals,the scale of farming will be further expanded.Artificial insemination can not only improve the utilization rate of high-quality breeding stock and herd quality,reduce biosecurity risks,but also help to develop scientific and reasonable breeding plans and improve farm production efficiency.However,artificial insemination has not been widely used in alpaca breeding,and there are few reports about artificial insemination of alpaca in China.Therefore,this paper reviews the collection of alpaca semen,dilution and preservation of semen,artificial insemination technology and other aspects to promote the development of alpaca breeding technology.
