Milbemycin oxime is a semi-synthetic macrolide veterinary antibiotic with the advantages of broad-spectrum,high efficacy,and low toxicity.The drug has a special effect on dog heartworms,and also has a strong repellent effect on a variety of parasites in and out of dogs and cats.However,there are relatively few studies on Milbemycin Oxime at present,and systematic review analysis is lacking.Therefore,this review,covering the physicochemical properties,mechanism of action,pharmacokinetics,pharmacodynamics and toxic effects of Milbemycin Oxime,aiming to provide a reference for the rational application of the drug in pet clinical practice in China.
