Research Progress on Pathogens Carried by Wild Birds and High-throughput Sequencing Technology
Wild birds,as one of the most diverse vertebrate species, play an important role in maintaining ecosystem balance.Wild birds carry various pathogenic microorganisms, including viruses, bacteria, parasites, etc.Especially zoonotic diseases pose a potential threat to human public health.Faced with the increasingly complex and uncertain development of disease transmission, traditional pathogen detection methods have limitations in pathogen detection. The emergence and technological updates of high-throughput sequencing technology have greatly improved the ability to identify and identify pathogenic microorganisms. Therefore,in order to enhance the understanding of the transmission of diseases by birds carrying pathogenic microorganisms, this article focuses on the prevalence of pathogenic microorganisms carried by wild birds, and reviews the application of traditional detection methods and high-throughput sequencing technology in the study of wild bird diseases. The aim is to provide reference and guidance for researchers in exploring the application of pathogenic microorganisms carried by wild birds and high-throughput sequencing technology in wild animal diseases.
