Diagnosis and Protection of a Type 3 Porcine Circovirus
Abortion or stillbirth occurred in sows in a large-scale pig farm in Heyuan,Guangdong Province,at the late stage of pregnancy.The newborn piglets showed symptoms such as body shaking and hind limbs eversion,and some piglets had respiratory diseases,diarrhea and weight loss.Samples of lung,intestinal tract,lymph node,and blood were collected from the dead pigs.The results of laboratory PCR and qPCR showed that all the four tissue samples were positive for PCV3 nucleic acid,which confirmed that the pigs were infected with PCV3.
