Research Progress of Protection Methods Against Dissimilar Metals Galvanic Corrosion
Aluminum alloy,titanium alloy and other lightweight materials are widely used in the pipe system of aircraft,ships and other high-end equipment,used to transfer water,oil/gas and other working medium and connect various mechanical equipment.In the process of practical application,the contact of dissimilar metals in the electrolyte causes electrochemical reaction and obvious galvanic corrosion phenomenon occurs.The occurrence of galvanic corrosion will affect the structural integrity of the equipment and service safety,it is necessary to take measures to intervene in the occurrence of galvanic corrosion at the contact interface of dissimilar metals.This paper introduces the principle of galvanic corrosion and its influencing factors,and reviews the current status of research on galvanic corrosion protection methods and insulating protective coatings in recent years.
