Design Characteristics and Optimization Research of Handysize Bulk Carrier
The handysize bulk carrier is one of the most frequently used types of ships in import and export trade at present.This type of ship is mainly responsible for the transportation of some bulk cargo.Due to the lack of protection and support like the container vessels,it is more difficult for bulk carrier to transport.In order to comprehensively improve the transport ability of bulk carriers,the requirements and function of bulk carriers should be analyzed in a systematic,all-around and detail way.The optimization of structural design should be studied vigorously to improve the performance and quality of the ship and reduce the construction cost and difficulty.This paper mainly introduces the design characteristics of the portable bulk carrier and puts forward the ideas and methods of design optimization,in order to provide help for the design and construction of China's bulk carriers.
