Experimental Study on Desulfurization of Ship Exhaust Gas with Seawater
This article uses a diesel engine combustion tail to simulate ship exhaust, and uses a spray tower as a desulfurization device to explore the impact of changes in the structure of the desulfurization tower on desulfurization efficiency.Furthermore, the influence of seawater PH value and liquid to gas ratio on desulfurization efficiency is analyzed.Research has found that installing a Venturi primary scrubber can remove some sulfur dioxide in the primary scrubbing area. After adding two perforated gas distribution plates, the desulfurization efficiency is 5%and 25%higher than when adding one or no increase, respectively. Moreover, the higher the PH value of seawater, the larger the liquid to gas ratio, and the higher the desulfurization efficiency.Installing a Venturi primary scrubber, adding double-layer orifice gas distribution plates, and adjusting the PH value of seawater can all improve desulfurization efficiency. When the oxygen content in the exhaust gas is high, increasing the liquid to gas ratio also helps to improve desulfurization efficiency.
