In this paper,a 2 500 DWT over-standard(in main dimension ratio)oil tanker is studied.Firstly,the hydrodynamic model of the main hull is established,and the wave is predicted according to the North Atlantic wave spectrum based on SESAM software,then determining the design wave.And the finite element structure model of the whole ship is established on basis of MSC.PATRAN to calculate and analyze the total longitudinal strength.Finally,according to the calculation results,the local high stress area is strengthened and the local low stress area is optimized.The results show that the structural optimization design based on the total longitudinal strength analysis can effectively reduce the structural weight redundancy and increase the cargo capacity,which provides an important guiding significance for the structural design of the over-standard ship.
