3D scanning technology can greatly shorten the construction period of ship modification project,reduce the design modification rate,and improve the production efficiency and economic benefits.This paper mainly introduces the basic principle and workflow of 3D scanning technology.Through the research and practice of the author's own participation in the ship modification project,the application of 3D scanning technology in SPD and E3D is compared,and its potential in ship modification is prospected.It can bring great development opportunities for the future ship modification industry.
