To verify the reliability of marine Type C LNG storage tank products, the corresponding pressure tests are necessary, typically using the method of hydrostatic pressure testing.During manufacturing and storage, two pedestals are generally used to support the tank for easy transportation.Due to the large volume of Type C tanks, when conducting hydrostatic pressure test,it requires filling up the tank with water, resulting in significant weight. Therefore, the structural safety of the bases needs to be considered during the hydrostatic pressure test. This paper employs the finite element simulation method to analyze the impact of hydrostatic pressure test on the stress of the bases, which can provide guidance for the base design.
