Using the full-text database of CNKI from 1986 to 2024 as the data source,Citespace software to conduct various analyses based on the number of papers published,publishing institutions,keyword co-occurrence,keyword clustering,and keyword burst is employed,aiming to construct a knowledge map and evolutionary process of military topographic research.The results indicate that the research on military topography has shown the following trajectory:rapid growth-decline in fluctuation-stable development.The number of publications has grown in a tortuous manner,research achievements have increased year by year,new research fields have been added continuously,and more research methods have been adopted.To further enhance the research level and practical effectiveness of military topography,research from multiple dimensional and integrating disciplines with cutting-edge technology are proposed.
