Synthesis and Properties of Poly(aryl ether nitrile sulfone)Containing Bis-Phthalazinone and Ether Moieties
A series of poly(aryl ether nitrile sulfone)s containing bis-phthalazinone and ether moieties(PBPENS)were synthesized by high-temperature-solution polymerization of 4,4'-(oxybis(4,1-phenylene))bis(phthalazin-1(2H)-one)-diphenyl ether(OBDHPZ),4,4'-difluorodiphenyl sulfone(DFS)and 2,6-difluorobenzonitrile(DFBN),by adjusting the mole ratio of sulfone and nitrile group in chain. The copolymers obtained have inherent viscosities in the range of 0.62~0.90 dL/g in N-methylpyrrolidone(NMP)at 25℃.The polymer structures were characterized by FT-IR,1H-NMR and WAXD.Furthermore, the thermal properties of PBPENSs were evaluated by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC)and thermal gravimetric analyzer(TGA),with the glass transition temperatures(Tg)and 5%mass retention(Td5%)ranged from 322℃to 325℃and 485℃to 500℃,respectively.Moreover,PBPENSs can be dissolved in polar non-protonic organic solvents such as NMP,N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMAc),chloroform and so on at room temperature. And PBPENS films prepared by solution casting method exhibit a tensile strength of 55~65 MPa.
