Progress in Research of Biodegradable Shape Memory Polymers
Shape memory polymers(SMPS)can change shape under specific stimuli and are a class of intelligent materials with broad application prospects.Biodegradable SMP can be broken down in human body,and this material meets the stringent requirements for biomedical applications and is ideal for minimally invasive surgery and trigger biomedical devices,some of which have been intensively studied and have a wide range of uses.The latest research progress and shape memory mechanism of several important shape memory polymers,polylactic acid(PLA),poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL),poly(trimethylene carbonate)(PTMC),poly(glycerol-dodecane-dioate)(PGD),poly(ω-pentadecalactone)(PPDL)were reviewed and their application potentials were introduced.
