Synthesis of Di(2-diazo-2-phenylacetic acid)-1,4-Butanediol Ester and Its Application in the Crosslinking of Polycaprolactone
Under certain conditions, the diazo compound can release nitrogen to form carbene structure, which can cross-link the low surface energy polycaprolactone material to obtain the cross-linked polycaprolactone material with shape memory effect. In this paper,a diazo crosslinker,di(2-diazo-2-phenylacetic acid)-1,4-butanediol ester, was synthesized successfully. The synthesis conditions of the crosslinker were optimized, and the yield of the crosslinker is up to 92.8%.The synthesized di(2-diazo-2-phenylacetic acid)-1,4-butanediol ester was successfully applied to the crosslinking of polycaprolactone(PCL).When the additive amount of di(2-diazo-2-phenylacetic acid)-1,4-butanediol ester is 20%of the mass of PCL,the gel content of PCL is 61.1%.The crosslinked PCL presents good shape memory performance. The shape recovery rate is greater than 95%,and the shape fixing rate can reach 100%.
