Preparation and Oil/Water Separation Properties of Antibacterial Polycaprolactone-Based 3D Electrostatic Fiber Scaffold
Oil/water separation and antibacterial treatment of water resources are the major topics in the worldwide.Based on this,a hydrophobic 3D electrostatic fiber scaffold composed of polycaprolactone(PCL)electrostatic fibers and containing l,3-dichloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin(DCDMH)as additive was designed.SEM and EDS were used to analyze the microstructure and element distribution of the materials. The density and porosity of these materials were investigated. The electrostatic fiber-based aerogel exhibits excellent hydrophobic properties, with a contact angle of 141.1°,and an adsorption capacity for organic solvents between 74~206 g/g.The materials show a good reusability to organic solvent, and the adsorption efficacy reaches 95%after 15 cycles.Due to the addition of DCDMH,the electrostatic fiber-based aerogel exhibits a considerable antibacterial effect. After being treated with 6 logs of S.aureus and E.coli O157∶H7,79.59%and 71.76%of both bacteria are inactivated within 30 min.
