The ballistic penetration entails high-speed nonlinear loading,involving intricate penetration and damage mechanisms influenced by various factors.With the rapid evolution of computer technology,numerical simulation has emerged as a primary avenue for investigating ballistic penetration.This article began by summarizing modeling techniques and research orientations concerning fiber-reinforced resin matrix composites across different scales.Additionally,it briefly elucidated composite material damage models and ballistic resistance mechanisms.Finally,considering the current state of research advancement,the paper underscored prevailing challenges and outlined prospective avenues for future investigations.
