Smart Responsive Materials in Biomedical Applications and Progress
Smart responsive materials are a class of materials that can respond to small changes in the external environment and achieve self-assembly,phase transition or morphology change through physicochemical processes. The mechanisms by which smart-responsive materials respond to changes in external factors such as solution concentration,pH,temperature, and electromagnetic waves(including infrared, ultraviolet, and visible light)are highlighted in this review. The structure and functional characteristics of microstructures such as microspheres, fibers, membranes and three-dimensional meshes are described, and their applications and research prospects in the fields of drug release, medical dressings and targeted therapies are explored.Prospects and research priorities for the development of smart-responsive materials in biomedical applications are outlined.
