环氧改性水性聚氨酯乳液的制备及其膜性能

以聚己内酯二元醇(CAPA)为软段.异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯(IPDI)和六亚甲基二异氰酸酯(HDI)为硬段,环氧树脂E-44为大分子交联剂,经相转化法合成了一系列环氧树脂改性负离子水性聚氨酯(EPPU)自乳化乳液,并制备了改性水性聚氨酯的固化膜.通过FFIR、TGA及接触角、力学性能测试对聚合物结构及其膜性能进行了研究.通过原子力显微镜(AFM)观察膜表面形态和表面粗糙度.乳液粒径及粒径分布通过动态激光光散射法(DLL5)测定.FTIR分析表明环氧树脂的羟基和环氧基都参与了发应.TGA表明,环氧树脂的加入可以提高聚氨酯的热稳定性.随着w(E-44)增大,改性聚氨酯膜的拉伸强度得到改善,断裂伸长率减小.随着w(E-44)增大,乳液粒径增大,薄膜的接触角增大,改性后的PU膜表面光滑度下降,拒水性增强.
SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF WATERBORNE POLYURETHANES MODIFIED BY EPOXY RESIN
A series of anionic waterborne polyurethane emulsion modified by epoxy resin were successfully prepared by the reaction of polycaprolactone diols (CAPA), isophorone isocyanate (IPDI), hexamethylene-1,6-diisocyanate (HDI) and epoxy resin (E-44) as crosslinker. Solidified films of the waterborne polyurethane were prepared by casting emulsions on Teflon surfaces. Fourier transform infared spectrometer (FTIR) and thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) were used to characterize the structure of the polyurethane. The mechanical properties and water contact angle of the cast films were also measured. The surface roughness and surface morphology of the films of waterborne polyurethanes were observed by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The particle size and distribution of the resultant polymer emulsions was tested by the dynamic laser light scattering (DLLS). FTIR indicates that epoxy group and hydroxyl group of E-44 both reacted with the polyurethane prepolymer. TGA indicates that the crosslink of E-44 with polyurethane increased thermal stability of the modified polyurethanes. It was found that the tensile strength of films of modified polyurethane increased and the elongation at break decreased with increasing E-44 content, the water contact angle increases with increasing w (E-44), the smoothness of solidified films of waterborne polyurethane decrease when modified by E-44, resulting in water repellence functions. DLLS showed that the particle size of emulsion increased with increasing w (E-44). In order to obtain stable polyurethane emulsions and solidified films of waterborne polyurethanes with improved mechanical properties, the proper w (E-44) is 10%.
