Experimental Study on Stability of Sloping Breakwater Accropodes Subject to Medium to Long Period Waves
Physical simulation experiment was carried out to investigate the stability of accropodes of sloping breakwater subject the action of medium to long period waves.High-resolution inertial attitude sensors were attached to the accropodes to measure the angular velocity time-histories of the accropodes under the action of waves, quantitatively investigating the stability of sloping breakwater accropodes subject to different wave heights and periods. The results showed an non-linear relation between periodic wave and the stability of accropodes. With the increase of wave period, the angular velocity amplitude of the accropodes showed a trend of increase-decrease-increase.The accropodes near still water surface showed the most significant displacement under the action of medium period wave. However, the accropodes at one time wave height above still water level showed the most significant displacement under long period wave.
