Engineering Claim and Insurance Compensation of One Breakwater Project under Extreme Weather
An offshore breakwater in South Asia was constructed in accordance with the specifications and contract requirements.The extreme weather caused the breakwater being destroyed by waves.The project management team firstly defined the extreme weather based on FIDIC clauses,and then carried out the engineering claims and insurance compensation of the breakwater project during the construction period,which minimized the impact of extreme weather on the breakwater construction.The aforementioned claims may serve as a reference for the projects in the event of similar working conditions.
