Evaluation Value of MR High-resolution Vascular Wall Imaging Combined with Serum Elabela and TSG-6 Detection for the Stability of Carotid Artery Plaques
Objective:To explore the value of high-resolution vascular wall imaging with magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)combined with serum elabela and tumor necrosis factor a stimulating gene-6(TSG-6)detection in the evaluation of carotid plaque stability. Methods:The clinical data of 110 patients who underwent carotid endarterectomy due to carotid atherosclerosis in our hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were collected.According to the pathological diagnosis, they were separated into stable group(n=61)and unstable group(n=49).Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)method was applied to detect serum levels of elabela and TSG-6.Spearman correlation was applied to analyze the relationship between serum elabela and TSG-6 levels and the formation of unstable carotid artery plaques.Receiver operator characteristic(ROC)curve was applied to evaluate the diagnostic value of serum elabela and TSG-6 detection for the stability of carotid artery plaques.Four grid table was applied to analyze the value of MRI high-resolution vascular wall imaging, serum elabela, and TSG-6 index detection in diagnosing the stability of carotid artery plaques. Results:Levels of serum elabela and TSG-6 in unstable group were significantly higher than those in stable group(P<0.05),and were positively correlated with the formation of carotid unstable plaque(correlation coefficients were 0.469 and 0.502,P<0.05).The area under ROC curve(AUC)of serum elabela and TSG-6 were 0.751 and 0.723,respectively,indicating that these two markers have some accuracy in diagnosing carotid plaque stability.MRI high-resolution vascular wall imaging combined with serum elabela and TSG-6 can more accurately diagnose the stability of carotid plaque.Conclusion:MRIhigh-resolution vascular wall imaging combined with serum elabela and TSG-6 detection has demonstrated clinical value in plaque stability in patients with carotid atherosclerosis, and can be used as an effective tool to evaluate carotid plaque stability.
