Factors Influencing the Accuracy of Needle Biopsy Guided by Shear Wave Ultra-sonic Elastic Imaging in the Diagnosis of Benign and Malignant Thyroid Nodules
Objective:To explore the factors influencing the accuracy of needle biopsy guided by shear wave ultrasonic elastography(SWE)in the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules. Methods:A total of 106 patients with 118 thyroid nodules underwent SWE-guided biopsy were selected as the study objects. The consistency of SWE-guided puncture biopsy and postoperative pathological examination was analyzed. To evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of SWE-guided needle biopsy for thyroid nodules and analyze the factors affecting the accuracy of SWE-guided needle biopsy. Results:There was a high consistency between SWE-guided puncture biopsy and postoperative pathological examination(Kappa=0.82),and the diagnostic efficacy of thyroid nodules was higher.Multivariate analysis showed that calcification,Hashimoto's thyroiditis, proportion of cystic components, abnormal carotid pulsation, nodule diameter, and nodule distance from carotid artery were the influencing factors for the accuracy of SWE-guided biopsy(P<0.05).Conclusion:SWE-guided puncture biopsy has high specificity and sensitivity in the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.Calcification,Hashimoto's thyroiditis, proportion of cystic components, abnormal carotid pulsation, nodule diameter and distance from the carotid artery were all factors influencing the accuracy of SWE-guided biopsy.
