Numerical Simulation of the Transport of Water in Soil with Macropores
Exact description of water movement in soil needs a model that can reflect the physics character of soil. In this paper, we regard that soil is divided into two porous media, one for matrix flow, one for macropore flow, and a macropore is assumed extend vertically from soil surface down to desired depth, macropore density is also imported into model to describe the complex distribution of macropore in soil. Water movement in two flow domain is simulated using different models, in order to improve the computational efficiency, domain decomposition method is adopted. From the comparison of the simulating results, it can be found that the models and methods that used in the paper can preferably depict the characteristic of macropore flow and improve the practicability and applicability of the model.
