摘要
自艺术家们意识到气味具备表现概念的潜能以来,越来越多运用气味的艺术作品扩展并融入当代艺术中.气味在当代艺术中的应用经历了实验性阶段、概念发展阶段和数字化阶段,其重要意义在于,气味在公共空间中的应用可作为强化场景的元素,加强公共空间的氛围营造,同时通过记忆生产、时空叙事与隐喻符号来实现感知体验与意象投射.然而,气味的艺术创作也面临着技术与材料、观众参与和感知、文化和伦理考量的挑战.本文主要探讨气味在艺术中应用的历史、意义、方式及其所面临的挑战,以期为当代艺术、公共艺术的发展提供新的审美视角与实践参照.
Abstract
Since artists recognized the conceptual and expressive potential of the scent,an increasing number of olfactory art works have expanded and been integrated into contemporary art.The application of scent in contemporary art has undergone three major phases:an experimental early stage,a conceptual development stage,and a modern digital stage.The intervention of scent in artistic creation holds significant importance.In public spaces,scent is applied in two primary ways:firstly,as an element to enhance the atmosphere and experiential context;secondly,as the central theme of art,achieving perceptual experiences and image projection through memory production,spatiotemporal narratives,and metaphorical symbols.However,olfactory art creation faces challenges related to technology,materials,audience participation and perception,as well as cultural and ethical considerations.This paper primarily explores the history,significance,methods,and challenges of the scent in art,aiming to provide contemporary art with new aesthetic perspectives and practical references.
