This paper explores the transition from the traditional public sphere to the public sentiment in the digital age,and how affective computing and algorithmic culture are reshaping the future of public sentiment and the public sphere.Through the analysis of Habermas',Arendt's,and Sennett's concept of the"public sphere",the complex role of emotion in orienting public issues and social cohesion is revealed.With the rise of digital media,the"affective public",as a new social force,has expanded the boundaries of the traditional public sphere through the extensive participation and establishment of emotional connections on social media platforms.The emergence of affective computing and algorithm technology has also had a new impact on individual emotional expression and public space for sentiment.How to take advantage of emotions and reclaim reflective feelings while maintaining the rationality of public discussion has become unavoidable for people at present.
