In China,where visual centrism is rampant,some undesirable public artworks have resulted in visual pollutions:in creation,the connotation is vulgar and superficial,the artistic techniques are mediocre and the lack of field ethics are common;in aesthetic form,"anti-beauty"and"pseudo-beauty"are everywhere,confusing,making it difficult for the public to distinguish between good and bad;in visual content,there is pornography,violence,and ideological pollution;in acceptance,the visual experience is constantly simplified,even abused and misused,and the visual perception is forcibly expropriated.Therefore,this paper proposes a basic strategy for the treatment of visual pollution in public art with a large number of practical cases and in-depth theoretical analysis,in order to arouse the attention of the concerned parties.
